Admission into the EYV Choral program is based on a combination of musicianship, interest, enthusiasm, and commitment.

 

We are looking for choristers who are eager to sing and eager to learn. The following are things we are looking for in prospective singers:

 

• Co-operative and enthusiastic attitude

• Clear, pleasant singing voice
 - Discriminating musical ear
 - Ability to follow instruction/suggestions/corrections

• Listening skills, including melodic and rhythmic memory


​​

• Self-reliance

​​

• Social skills
 A student not meeting all of these criteria may be invited to “try it out” at the discretion of the conductor.
